Repurposed Lamp

What started out as this...




is now this...



I've seen variations of this project out in blogland and I decided that I could use one in our master bedroom. Now that the crib has been moved out, there is a lot of extra space. I think this will make a perfect book table. Wait until you see what I'm going to make to go with it. I love the chevron print and the glossy black with slight distressing on the frame.

Old dingy brass lamp from Goodwill for $1.29
Old frame from Goodwill for $2.99
Can of Krylon Gloss Black spray paint $2.99
Light Canopy $3.49
Fabric $0 (I already had it)
Spray adhesive $0 (I already had it)
Gorilla glue $0 (I already had it)

Total: $10.76

Not bad if I do say so myself.
