Kitchen Table Makeover

Yesterday, I scored a free kitchen table on Craigslist. The one we currently had was ok but was either too big with the leaf in or too small without it. I wanted something that would comfortably seat 6 and would fit in our eat-in kitchen without being too cramped.

Before (poor Bitty Baby is being neglected at the moment...just keeping it real):

The table was in pretty decent shape but the top had several deep gouges and scratches. The legs and sides of the table had already been painted a creamy white. I decided to repaint the entire table a creamy white. I used Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old White. When I was done, I knew it needed more. So I stenciled the top using the Rabat stencil from Cutting Edge Stencils with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Gray then finished everything off with a couple coats of furniture wax. I also slightly distressed the edges to give it a more worn feel.

I am absolutely in love with this table. It is so beautiful in person. I just want to stare at it all day! What do you think?
