Play Kitchen Reveal

Warning: Picture Heavy!!!

Last week, I gave you a little preview of something I was working on for my niece's birthday. I can now finally share with you the final finished product. I'm so excited!!!

I created a play kitchen made out of an old nightstand. Here is what the nightstand looked like before:

It was plain and boring. After sanding it down and priming it, my husband built a top hutch for it and we assembled it and painted it. This project was a joint effort and was a lot of fun to create.

The dishtowel was a cloth napkin that I added some ribbon embellishment and also a little hook for hanging. The sink faucet was made using a plumbing pipe and a candle stick.

The sink was made from a picture frame and the inside was painted to look like water.

I created a bulls eye shape and used my silhouette machine to cut out the shape in vinyl. The knobs are plain wooden knobs that I painted.

The spice rack I found at Goodwill and painted. The spice jars are old film canisters filled with a little rice so that they make a fun sound. I also decorated the front of the canisters using my silhouette vinyl. The little colander was bought at Target.

The inspiration for the colors came from this fun vintage inspired fabric. I love the playful flowers.

I made a cute kitchen art sign using fabric and silhouette vinyl.

Here is another look at the cutting board and the basket that fits behind the curtain to hold all the kitchen necessities.

I attached a phone and a wooden chalkboard to display the daily menu.

I know Miss Heezy-Bop is going to have a ton of fun in this bright and cheerful kitchen for years to come.

Happy Memorial Day,
