Finally...The Hutch Reveal!

The hutch has been done and in it's place for about 2 weeks now. I needed new glass shelves before I could do much of anything. I had a friend who knew a guy that got me a great deal and I picked them up today. They fit perfect and I was able to put all my books in my new "library" area of our living room.

I found this hutch at a little thrift store for $25. I couldn't pass it up and knew it could be turned into something fabulous.

Here's the before:

I wanted to go bold for this piece so I went with a sunny yellow with gray accents and a white interior.

I love how it turned out. It brightens up the room. Now I have a fun little area to sit and read. I really want to get a cozy chair for that corner so I can curl up and read a good book.
