I spotted this little bench at a garage sale awhile back. I loved the cute little spindle legs and knew it had potential to be great. I started with taking apart the seat. It had been recovered multiple times but instead of recovering it again. I took the whole thing apart. I even found that it had it's original camel hair stuffing. That was kind of cool. I decided to recover it with some new foam and a coffee burlap sack that I had been holding onto for the perfect project.
I used Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in Duck Egg Blue on the body of the bench. I am in love with this color. I distressed the legs to give it an old worn look. I love how it turned out. It's a perfect place for my kids to sit and put on their shoes.
Have a fantastic weekend,
Shara
